That the Parliament commends all those involved in the creation of the upcoming documentary series, Wild Isles, which it notes is due to air in the coming weeks; understands that the series, which is presented by David Attenborough and co-produced by Silverback Films, the Open University, the RSPB and WWF, will showcase the lives of many of the incredible species from Scotland and the rest of the UK; recognises what it sees as the challenges that are currently being faced by species and ecosystems across Scotland at land and sea as a result of the twin climate and nature crises; calls on the Scottish Government to continue to build future policy with climate and nature recovery at its heart, and considers the need to act urgently to protect Scotland’s precious wildlife and habitats so that future generations may also get the opportunity to learn about and appreciate the natural heritage.
